Sports facilities in parks available to lease
Lisvane Recreation Ground
Sport and community organisations in Cardiff are being invited to lease two council-owned facilities to help boost local engagement and unlock funding opportunities.
The sites – the former bowling green pavilion at Hailey Park and changing rooms at Lisvane Recreation Ground – are owned by Cardiff Council, which is offering lease agreements to eligible groups.
A council spokesperson said: "Lease arrangements of this type are already in place in many of Cardiff's parks, delivering investment in existing facilities, helping increase participation in sport and enabling local community organisations and sports clubs to unlock new funding opportunities."
Legal notices have been published to advertise the proposed ‘disposal’ of 0.07 acres at Lisvane and 0.03152 hectares at Hailey Park. This term refers to the granting of a lease; ownership will remain with the council.
All current users of the sites have been informed and he marketing process will begin once legal requirements are completed.
